License

Local Home Intelligence Licensing

Local Home Intelligence is released under a Business Source License 1.1 (BSL 1.1) style model. That means the code is source-available today for personal, internal, and non-commercial use, while certain commercial uses are restricted until the change date.

Simple, transparent, and built to protect both the people using the system and the business behind it.

This page is a simplified explanation. The LICENSE file in the repository governs legally.

Why this matters

Why we chose this

We believe in local-first AI, privacy, and open innovation. People should be able to run home intelligence without surrendering control of their data to large platforms.

At the same time, we need to protect the company and product we are building so we can continue investing in the platform long-term.
