What it is
A local-first, privacy-first, memory-aware system for adding context, continuity, and operator-visible judgment to the home.
About / Vision
Local Home Intelligence exists because most home automation executes, but very little of it retains context, explains itself clearly, or acts with restraint. The aim is to add memory, continuity, and better judgment above the existing control stack, not to replace it.
What this is
Home Assistant already integrates devices and orchestrates automations. This layer adds working memory, contextual interpretation, and more legible decision support while keeping Home Assistant as the control plane.
What it is
A local-first, privacy-first, memory-aware system for adding context, continuity, and operator-visible judgment to the home.
What it is not
Not a Home Assistant replacement, not a cloud-first assistant, and not a promise of magic before the fundamentals, proof surfaces, and operating boundaries are real.
Why local matters
A home is one of the most sensitive computing environments people have. Local processing, narrow data exposure, inspectable behavior, and clear system boundaries are architectural requirements here, not branding language.
Project posture
This is an early-stage build, but it is no longer just an abstract idea. The public site exists to explain the category, attract focused technical attention, and make the system legible as implemented pieces become easier to prove and understand.
The language should stay specific, the claims should stay modest, and the product should earn trust as it becomes more capable.
The project is meant to be understandable to contributors, testers, and technically serious followers who care about local control, inspectability, and real system boundaries.
The experience should be shaped by real household life, not by software theater or generic AI marketing.
